Of all the SRAM ETAP groups, the “Force” is the second cheapest wireless electric shifting group in the world after Rival. The Force group is lighter and better than the Rival group.
\nSRAM ETAP is the only and unique wireless groupset, you brake with two cables, the rest is via Bluetooth. The switches transmit the signal to the derailleurs, each of which carries a small battery.
\nThe batteries are interchangeable with each other and will last six months with weekly use, every bike ordered with an ETAP groupset receives a charger with it.
\nGear shifting is fast and very efficient. If you like proven innovation and forward thinking, SRAM ETAP is right up your alley.
\nPay attention to a few things. The smallest cogs at SRAM ETAP are 10tooth. The standard cranks have 48T outer leaf. So your largest gearing is 48\/10=4.8x.
\nOther groups have standard cassettes whose smallest cog is 11T. For equal gearing, you will then have to ride a 53T outer leaf, because 53\/11=4.8x.
\nWith SRAM, the gearing is thus 48 over 10, which is equal to 53 over 11.
\nWe also build 53 over 10 on the AERO 20 upon request. The Sram Force group consists of
\n– a 48\/35 or 46\/33 crank;
\n– two shifters with cables and calipers;
\n– two 160mm discs
\n– a cassette
\n– a flattop chain for 12s
\n– a front derailleur with battery
\n– a rear derailleur with battery
